Introduction to Logo Platform Tailor

Logo Platform Tailor (LPT) is a customization tool for Logo’s ‘On Demand’ series business applications j-platform.

LPT is designed to enable small and mid-size organizations to enjoy the tremendous benefits of customized business automation without costly and time-consuming project implementations.
LPT includes a rich set of visual designers and wizards to eliminate the common hindrances of customization processes and provides a single package for all tailoring needs.
With the help of LPT, Logo ensures that organizations benefit from the efficient use of their systems and effective utilization of their business processes.
LPT is different customization tool. It utilizes the standard Java programming language for customization and provides a standard API for all kinds of business operations.
LPT is built on top of Eclipse, a very popular integrated development environment (IDE) for Java programming language, and deployed as a custom Eclipse Distribution.
The LPT package contains various file and object editors, wizards and code completion modules to minimize the development effort.
LPT is compatible with favorite team development tools like CVS and Clear Case ® and supports customization development on remote systems.
Please note that there may be multiple ways of doing the same thing in the Platform Tailor. In this document, only one convenient method is presented per operation.
Other methods can also be used; however, the help documentation should be consulted before doing it.
